For a long time we omitted this cache from our trips. It sounded like a difficult challenge, rightfully so. We’ve agreed to turn around and post a DNF if the cache proved to difficult or to dangerous for children. With that in mind we packed up and went for a trip with the single purpose of finding Lose Lake #2.

The cache listing states “Not recommended for children”. Until today this was a deterrent to attempt this cache. This afternoon we went for it, including dog and 2 year old. After arrival at the bottom of the rock face we turned right. We took our time finding a gentle way to the top. The blown over trees proved much more of a challenge then the elevation change. Once on top the view was magnificant. Our 2 year old son had a blast. He was ready to immediately tackle the next adventure. Took nothing but left some SIMM sticks.
