The Drifters
August 23, 2005 @ 10:13 pm
I have 4 travel bugs on the loose. All four visited the Sioux Lookout # 2 cache on August 23, 2005. There they started their journey. They will be swiftly moved to various locations in Western Canada during our upcoming vacation.
Each Drifter is attached to a chunk of driftwood from the shores of Abram Lake, hence “The Drifters”. They are travellers, wanting to see as much of the world as possible, each heading off into a different direction. Will they ever be reunited?
Dino (official page)
Dino is named after the markings in the wood, reminding its owner of a dinosaur. Dino, seeking warmth, wants to travel south.
Knobby (official page)
Knobby is one of the four Drifters travel bugs. Each Drifter is attached to a chunk of driftwood from the shores of Abram Lake, hence “The Drifters”. They are travellers, wanting to see as much of the world as possible, each heading off into a different direction. Will they ever be reunited?
Pokey (official page)
Pokey is named after the shape of the wood, little pokeys left of what used to be branches. Pokey loves the view of the rising sun and is headed east.
Fishy (official page)
Fishy is named after the markings in the wood, reminding its owner of a fish head. Fishy wanted to go south but being the runt of the pack that direction was already taken. He is headed north (unless you feel sorry for him).
